2008 Season Around the Corner

The 2008 season will be upon us before we know it as House League Opening Day is May 24 this year and the Rep season begins May 5. Don't wait to sign up as spaces are limited and late fees kick-in March 2, 2008. Come and join the fun and grow with us as registration has continued to climb by 13% each year for the last 5 years!! We will once again have our Chocolate Fundraiser that was a huge success last year. This Fundraiser helps keeps our registration fee one of the lowest throughout the York-Simcoe region, as we continually face climbing user-rate hikes as well as higher and higher equipment costs. We encourage newcomers to come out to one of our three registration dates for info.

2007 Santa Claus Parade

The BBBA once again entered a float in the Bolton Santa Claus Parade, and despite the frigid temperatures, a record crowd was on hand to see the many floats. "Our float was based on the theme 'A Charlie Brown Christmas'" said new President, John Cooke. Thanks to the hard work of the Executive, especially Terry McGuire, the float captured the Top Award for "The Best Commercial Float". Special thanks to Ross Figliano from Sure-Way Paving for donating the truck and trailer.

Dr Nigel Hudson signs on with Braves

We are proud to announce that Dr. Nigel Hudson is the official Chiropractor of the Bolton Braves Baseball Association. Dr. Hudson is a Chiropractor with Sports Specialization. He has already worked on several Braves players. Dr. Hudson was a doctor for members of the women's Canadian, Swiss and American National and Olympic hockey teams. He has worked with African track and field athletes. He worked at the 1999 Pan Am Games and the 2003 Canadian Winter Games. He was also selected as an alternate by the Canadian Olympic Commitee on the Medical staff for the 2002 Salt Lake Games as well as the 2004 Summer Olympics. Dr. Hudson also spent one year in Europe with the Canadian men's Bobsleigh Team on the World Circuit. Dr. Hudson will specialize in treatment and prevention for Braves players.
"We are very lucky to have Dr. Hudson on board to educate our players and coaches about proper warm up, stretching and overall sports therapy which is geared to the baseball player. With Dr. Hudson, we have the ability to professionally advise our players on the proper exercises for ballplayers. This also is a preventative step as opposed to just post injury treatment. This will be exceptional, especially for pitchers." says President Matt Allison. Dr. Hudson's practice is part of Albion Hills Chiropractic and Massage. This practice includes two Chiropractors, a Registered Massage Therapist and a Certified Personal Trainer. He is located at 33-D King St. W. Bolton. You can call Dr. Hudson at 905 857-8507.
